Isn't my business too small?
No business is too small to have a website. A website is a representation of your business, and on the internet, nobody knows how big or small your business is - it's what you offer that counts. Some of our largest websites are run by people who are operating their business from home.

Are there monthly costs?
In the same way as you pay a monthly rental fee for your telephone, we charge
a monthly hosting fee, which ensures that your site is accessible on the Internet
via our server 24 hours a day. Check out our hosting pricing structure for the
monthly charges.

Can I decide how it looks?
Most definitely - it's your website and we'll design it according to your business and individual needs. We''ll take care of the technical jargon and behind the scenes functionality, you'll take care of the look and feel of your website. We'll work very closely with you, the client to ensure that your website is an accurate reflection of your business image. Your site will not be considered complete until you are 150% happy with every aspect of it.

How long does it take for my website to be available on the internet?
That depends on how quickly we receive your information - once we have everything we need it takes approximately 2 weeks for a basic brochure website and 3 weeks for a basic dedicated website. When the layout and design have been approved by yourself, it takes 5 minutes to upload to our servers and will appear immediately on the internet.

What happens if I'm running a promotion and would like it to appear on my website?
You contact us immediately so we can work on a promotion page that is dedicated to the product or service you would like to promote. We will need your promotional information at least 4 days in advance to getting onto the web asap and in time for your promotion. Please remember, time is money so there will be a charge to add additional pages to your website - this will not affect your monthly hosting fee and will be a once off charge.

How does a Contact Us Page/Form work?
We'll take care of the behind the scenes programming. Here is an example of a Contact Form. Your potential client/customer will fill in their details and when they hit the "SUBMIT" button, all the information they have supplied will be sent to you via email to an email address/es of your choice.

What happens if I don't like my Home Page anymore and would like to change it?
It's always a good idea to keep your website fresh and up to date. Contact us to let us know you'd like a change and send us the information you would like to replace the old information with - this can include pictures as well. Again, please remember, time is money so there will be a charge to change existing pages on your website - this will not affect your monthly hosting fee and will be a once off charge.

What happens if I have given information for my website that has spelling errors or have supplied the wrong contact email address and it's already been uploaded to the server?
Not a problem, this happens to the best of us! Just send an email to support@elkington.co.za and one of our nifty guys will change it asap. Depending on the extent of the changes we may charge you for this.

Will I have to sign a contract?
Nope, with web stuff evolving it's no longer a requirement, your web hosting will be on a month to month basis. However, we are so good at designing websites and giving good quality after sales customer service that you won't want to change to another service provider - this is a guarantee!

What happens if I do want to move my website to another service provider?
This choice will ALWAYS remain yours. Although we will be sad to see you go and would like to know why - so we can improve on our services, we don't believe in holding our customers livelihood to ransom. Your domain will be transferred as requested and the files pertaining to your website will be emailed or saved onto disc and given to you - provided you have kept your account with us up to date.

What happens if I can't afford to pay the setup fees all in the same month?
I don't think there is any business or individual who hasn't gone through a cash flow problem at some time or another. Let us know if there is a problem and we can work out a suitable plan for the setup fees. Unfortunately, the regular monthly hosting fees are payable in full, a month in advance via debit order. We are at your service to help get you on the web AFFORDABLY!

What happens if my website has been up and running for a couple of months and I need to make changes but can't afford to pay the additional charges for the changes or additional pages in the same month?
Again, I don't think there is any business or individual who hasn't gone through a cash flow problem at some time or another. What happens if I'd like to do a survey on my website to find out what my customers are needing or looking for?
You contact us to let us know what survey you'd like to do and we'll program a web page that will include all the questions you would like to ask. Once your potential client/customer has completed the survey and hits the "SUBMIT" button, all this information will be sent to you via email to an email address/es of your choice. Again, please remember, time is money so there will be a charge to add additional pages to your website - this will not affect your monthly hosting fee and will be a once off charge.
